LoC-Din existed since 2016 as a movement of likes-mind advocating for quality education, improved healthcare services and social security for marginalized communities in Nigeria.
The organization was incorporated as a TRUST with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on 27th July 2018. Since then, the scope of LoC-Din’s interventions has expanded to providing management supports to displaced populations and communities in Nigeria, provision of relief materials and emergency kits to people affected by natural disasters and armed conflicts, mobilizing communities for socioeconomic and livelihood engagements with protection mainstreaming while focusing on peace building and social cohesion in conflict affected communities.
Today, LoC-Din in partnership with UN agencies, International and National humanitarian organizations and donors has impacted in over 100,000 Households and more than 600,000 individuals affected by armed conflict in Northeast Nigeria through multisectorial humanitarian interventions. We are committed to doing even more.
Our thematic areas are; Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM), Shelter and NFIs, Education, WASH, protection, Nutrition, livelihood, conflict resolution and peace building, gender and disability inclusion, amongst others.
Our services include but not limited to;
Community Mobilization and community engagement, enhancing access to improved basic lifesaving needs, advocacies, community dialogue and citizens engagement, conflict resolution and peace building, skills training and entrepreneurship development, life skills and livelihood opportunities, policy influencing and formulation, climate change adaptation and environmental protection, sanitation and hygiene promotion, gender issues and minority inclusion, community health and education amongst others.

Beyond providing the platform for community development, LoC-Din engages in policy advocacy and seeks for political reforms that ensure rural communities are put in the national development radar.
LoC-Din benefits from a pool of seasoned rural development specialists and social development advocates to promote its core mandate. We also belong to important movements and networks that promote peace, justice, transparency, accountability and development in Nigerian rural communities, including connected development (CODE) and the Nigerian network of NGOs (NNNGOs).
